Kent have a Free for 2 funding scheme for children when in Pre-School education. In summary, this allows parents who are in receipt of certain benefits to be able to claim up to 15 hours free Pre-School education from the Term after a child’s 2nd birthday. (Everyone qualifies for 15 hours free Pre-School education from the Term after a child’s 3rd birthday).

The youngest we accept children is 2 so if you qualified for this scheme you will not have any Pre-School fees to pay.

The benefits/credits applicable are:-

  • their families receive Working Tax Credits and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190 per year

  • they have a current statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and care plan

  • they are entitled to Disability Living Allowance

  • they are looked after by a local authority

  • they are no longer looked after by the local authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or a child arrangements order which specifies with whom the child lives.

If you feel you may be eligible and wish to claim for this funding, you can either apply online using the following link or contact our administrator by email at

The Free for 2 scheme allows for 15 hours funded, however, currently we only offer between 6 – 12 hours for this age range. We are looking to increase this for those children on this scheme, if additional sessions are not available, children who do qualify will be top of the waiting list for extra sessions.
